Sancerie O’Rourke-Allen, D.D.S.
Dr. O’Rourke-Allen was raised in Baton Rouge, LA and envisioned being a dentist since the seventh grade. In 1994, she graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She promptly entered Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX where she earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998. After completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University Of Mississippi School Of Dentistry, Dr. O’Rourke-Allen returned to Baton Rouge. Always focused on the community, Dr. O’Rourke-Allen primarily practiced dentistry in a public health setting. Dr. O’Rourke-Allen still practices at Southwest Louisiana Primary Health Care and Southwest Louisiana Developmental Center where she serves the mentally challenged.
Dr. O’Rourke-Allen maintains membership in several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Louisiana Dental Association, Continuing Dental Education of Baton Rouge, Capital City Dental Association, and the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association. In 2005, she was selected to participate in the American Dental Association Institute for Diversity in Leadership. Only 12 dentists were selected throughout the nationwide application pool to participate in this great program.
